New competitions from the Library

We told you they were on the way, and now here they are; two new competitions for students and staff to take part in.

• To celebrate World Book Day (7th March 2013), there is a book quiz, which will run for two weeks




• There is also the annual photography competition, which this year has the subject of 'Northamptonshire'. Deadline 19th April

If you'd like to take part in either one, then pop into any of the libraries to pick up a form.

Room 101

Which character, from a book, do dislike or even hate the most? Is there anyone in The Hunger Games, Harry Potter or anything you've read, who you would really like to send to Room 101, never to be heard from again?

If so, let us know by leaving a comment on this blog. Once we have a few suggestions we will try to make a display of all in the books in the Library- so other people may read them and learn to loathe that character too!!

Six Book Challenge

Well done to all our Six Book Challengers who have really got stuck in and begun to read books regularly. We have even had some students finish their six books already, so extra praise for them.

For everyone else, stick at it, it will definitely be worth it in the end. Remember you can read newspapers, magazines or comics as well as books, whatever you feel most comfortable with. Don't forget to bring your diary into one of the Library centres, each time you finish your reading material, so that we can stamp it with a happy face!
