New Year

Welcome back everyone, hope you all had a good break and are now enjoying the Winter Wonderland.
We've already achieved so much this academic year such as:
  • Study Skills sessions delivered to hundreds of students from all levels, across all three sites
  • Short Story/Poetry competition success (well done again winners, you can find the winning entries on our library website)
  • Hundred of students signing up to the Six Book Challenge, already, with many more predicted to join.
  • Introduction of the 'Everlasting Festival of Reading'
  • Wonderful amount of money raised by you for the Wallace & Gromit Children's Foundation, by your particpation in our Tea Party (£504.01)
Thank you all for any of the contributions you have made to the above activities- without the staff and students our Libraries would be much duller places. But wait...there is still more to come!!
  • 'Reading Journey' for students (level 3) who are interested in improving their reading by committing to read a chosen number of books between now and June. You will receive a prize and certificate for taking part
  • Photography Competion in March
  • Book Review competition to coincide with World book Day (7th March)
  • Reading Group once a month on a Friday (check with the Library for dates & times). You can particpate through this blog if that is easier- keep checking the posts
  • You could book a revision/exam tips session with the Learning Facilitators if you are worried about any up coming exams
  • Completion of Six Book Challenge
Phew!! So much stuff, I'm out of breath now. There may be more things going on as the year progresses, so keep checking this blog, Twitter and our notice boards to keep you up-to-date.
Enjoy the rest of your year, work hard and get the best results you can.
